Machine Translation

The VISL project is in the process of developing tools for machine translation of texts. Currently, the following translation options are available:

  • From Portuguese (source) into Danish (target)
  • From Danish (source) into Esperanto (target)

The objective of VISL's machine translation is to provide a version of the text in the target language which, though it may not be fully grammatical, is at least accurate enough for a monolingual native speaker of the target language to post-edit and thereby create a final text which is fully acceptable to native speakers.

In order to continue using the Java applets, see troubleshooting tips and Download Java.
On Windows use Internet Explorer 11. macOS no longer supports Java applets.
The Chrome extension CheerpJ Applet Runner may work for some use-cases.
